Frauenwald is a popular spa and the eldest locality along the Rennsteigs in the middle of

Biosphärenreservat "Vessertal" at the wild romantic nature. You have extensive hiking trails from easy till ambitious  with good signage.

Our city is central and have many place of excursions ,

many traditionelly restaurants and small shops.

We have 120 km cross-country ski run with snow guaranteed (800m high)

Oberhof, Ilmenau, Suhl - 20 minutes
